The freguesia de N. Sra da Apparecida dos Córregos was founded in May 1877, belonged to the Vila de Conceição do Serro and was located on the south bank of the Ribeirão de Sto. Antonio do Cruzeiro, 290 kilometres north of the provincial capital Ouro Preto. In December 1943, the village was incorporated as a district into the município de Conceição do Mato Dentro.
R. Koester writes in Carimbologia XIV that there had been a post office there since November 1881. This is confirmed by the press in Rio:

Antonio do Cruzeiro, 290 km nördlich der Provinzhauptstadt Ouro Preto. Im Dezember 1943 wurde der Ort als Distrikt in das Município de Conceição do Mato Dentro eingegliedert.
