Other names: Lagoa da Conceição
The settlement on the western shore of Lake Conceição had been a Distrito 10 kilometres east of Vila de N. Sra. do Desterro (today the state capital Florianópolis) since June 1750. Around 1820 it became the Freguesia de N. Sra. da Conceição da Lagoa, and since October 1894 it has once again been a Distrito of Florianópolis.
According to the regional press, there had been a post office there since March 1884:
This was closed again around 1893, as R. Koester writes in Carimbologia XXVI. The postmark with the imperial seal LSC-0155a is also shown there:
James Dingler and Klerman W. Lopes showed in Mute Cancellations of the Brazil Empire / Carimbos Mudos do Brasil Império (Brazil Philatelic Association, Rio de Janeiro, 2000) a mute cancellation from Lagoa with no. 2345, whose provenance could not yet be definitively confirmed.

Die Siedlung am Westufer des Conceição-Sees war seit Juni 1750 ein Distrito 10 km östlich von Vila de N. Sra. do Desterro (heute Landeshauptstadt Florianópolis). Um 1820 wurde es zur Freguesia de N. Sra. da Conceição da Lagoa, seit Oktober 1894 ist es wieder ein Distrito von Florianópolis.
