Alliança was the name of the small settlement that emerged in the late 19th century in the Município of Nazareth, located on the north bank of the Sirigi River, 85 km northwest of the provincial capital Recife. It was not until November 1892, already in the Republic, that the place became a district and since September 1928 it has been a city.
The local post office came into being in January 1882, according to the Rio press:

The imperial postmark from this locality is APE-0035a (Coll. Fuad Ferreira Fo.): a double circle with the inscription ALLIANÇA at the top, the inner circle being so small that it cannot contain a date. A single specimen has been seen so far, used on a lettercard from 1889.

Alliança hieß die kleine Siedlung, die im späten 19. Jahrhundert im Município von Nazareth entstand und am Nordufer des Flusses Sirigi lag, 85 km nordwestlich der Provinzhauptstadt Recife lag. Erst im November 1892, schon in der Republik, wurde der Ort ein Distrikt und seit September 1928 ist er eine Stadt.

Der kaiserliche Poststempel aus dieser Ortschaft ist APE-0035a (Samml. Fuad Ferreira Fo.): ein Doppelkreis mit der Inschrift ALLIANÇA oben, wobei der Innenkreis so klein ist, dass er kein Datum beinhalten kann. Ein einziges Exemplar war bisher zu sehen, verwendet auf einer Briefpostkarte aus 1889.
